Resume & Interview Tips for Pharma Jobs

Creating a strong resume and preparing for interviews are crucial to securing a job in the pharmaceutical sector. The following tips will help you strengthen your resume and ace your interview:

Use the right keywords in your resume

Use keywords relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, such as ‘clinical trials,’ ‘regulatory affairs,’ ‘quality assurance,’ and ‘pharmacovigilance,’ in your resume. This will help your resume rank higher in applicant tracking systems (ATS).

Prepare for interview questions

Practice common interview questions often asked in pharmaceutical interviews, such as:

1. Why did you choose a career in this field?

2. How do you work under pressure?

3. What is your biggest weakness, and how are you improving it?

Prepare answers to these questions and deliver them confidently.

Use the STAR method: When answering behavioral questions, use the ‘Situation, Task, Action, Result‘ approach to ensure your answers are structured and effective.

Use effective body language during the interview

Sit up straight during the interview, maintain good eye contact, and use open body language. This shows your confidence and professionalism.
GetReskilled

Listen carefully to the interviewer’s questions and think before answering. If a question is unclear, politely ask for clarification.

Follow-up after the interview

After the online interview, send the interviewer a short thank-you email, thanking them for their time and reaffirming your interest in the role. This makes a good impression and demonstrates your professionalism.
